Frankie is Legal!

So I’ve had Frankie back for a while now and I just never bothered to get her licensed under my new address. So yesterday we went to the local pet superstore and got her rabies shot and an application for a dog license. Today I swung by the humane society and turned everything in and received a three year license for the Frankenstein monster. What’s interesting is that I work a block away from the central San Diego humane society and animal control, but I can’t get her license there. No, because I live in a different part of the county I have to go to a specific humane society up there to get a city specific license; waste of time in my opinion because a license is a license is a license.

Anyhoot, I took the entire day off Tuesday because of car related issues, but I ended up with some free time and took Frankie up to the local trails. I guess this was her last illegal hike. It was kind of muddy because of the rain we’ve been having this week and we both had a blast playing on the boulders in a vain attempt to avoid the mud. All in all it’s been a pretty successful week so far. We’re supposed to get more rain tomorrow and Friday, so we’ll see what the weekend brings. I really want to get some more hiking miles and find some new trails.
