What a Beach of a Weekend

Last weekend was the annual trip for the company. We went to Newport Beach and spent the weekend wandering around the beach, eating great food, and drinking. It was the perfect mind numbing, do nothing weekend that I needed. Most of my co-workers opted to go kayaking at 7:30 am on Saturday; I stayed in bed with the air conditioning blasting until 9:00 am and then went to the beach. Each night our boss took us to a nice restaurant and it makes me truly thankful to work for a small company that has such great people working for it. I remember other companies that I worked for, ok other company, where company dinners were stiff and everyone had to force a smile until dinner was over and the individual groups could separate from the masses and hang out. With the current company everyone truly enjoys spending time with each other and it makes for a great, and more productive in my opinion, work environment.
